About Dr. Sonya Wali

Dr. Sonya Wali brings a refined blend of academic excellence, comprehensive surgical training, and heartfelt dedication to patient care. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia,

where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology and Spanish, before going on to receive her Doctor of

Podiatric Medicine degree from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia.

She completed her residency training at Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey, where she served as Chief Resident. During her training, Dr. Wali gained extensive experience treating a wide range of foot and ankle conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Her exposure to diverse pathology and complex clinical presentations helped shape her into a thoughtful, skilled, and well-rounded foot and ankle physician. Dr. Wali has a

special interest in trauma surgery, minimally invasive surgery, and wound care. She is board-qualified

by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is committed to delivering care that is both technically

precise and deeply compassionate. What distinguishes Dr. Wali is not only her clinical training, but also the

genuine fulfillment she finds in caring for her patients. She greatly values the relationships she builds with those she

treats and believes that exceptional care begins with listening, empathy, and trust. Her approach is centered on making each patient feel comfortable, respected, and truly

cared for throughout every step of treatment and recovery. Outside of medicine, Dr. Wali enjoys yoga, working out, and cooking.
